Assessments
An initial assessment gathers diverse information from individuals seeking services, including historical, social, behavioral, functional, psychiatric, and developmental data. This evaluation is crucial for determining tailored treatment and support needs.
Crisis Intervention
We provide a 24-hour Crisis Response System for recipients during emergencies. Crisis Intervention Services offer intensive one-to-one support to manage acute symptoms, preventing hospitalization or incarceration.
Family Counseling
These services provide a supportive space
for families to address challenges, improve communication, and strengthen relationships. Therapists facilitate constructive dialogue and provide tools to foster understanding and harmony within the family unit.
Medication Management
ABHS provides pharmacotherapy and
medication training services. This includes thorough evaluation and prescription of
medications tailored to individual symptoms.
Outpatient Treatment
Our outpatient treatment/counseling provide personalized support to help individuals
understand mental health, set treatment goals, and receive tailored interventions.
Services range from brief medication checks to therapy sessions lasting up to two hours.
Psychosocial Rehabilitation
Psychosocial rehabilitative services entail social and cognitive interventions aimed at restoring recipients’ abilities in social relationships, occupational, and independent living skills.
Skills Training & Development
Skills training and supportive interventions focus on improving communication, appropriate interpersonal behaviors, and other essential skills for independent living or effective interaction within family, peer, and academic contexts.
Treatment & Planning
The treatment plan aims to alleviate functional impairments due to serious mental illness in adults and reduce serious emotional disturbance in children, aiming to restore recipients to their optimal functioning level in the community.

INSURANCE
We’re dedicated to improving our services by expanding our network of insurance plans at ABHS.
Currently, we’re unable to accept private insurance, but we do participate in various Texas Medicaid
networks. We apologize for any inconvenience and are committed to providing the best care possible.
EMPLOYMENT

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a mental health-related field i.e. (psychology, social work, nursing, counseling, sociology, special education, human growth and development, early childhood education) etc.
- Proficient with computers
- Must have a computer and internet connection
Job Duties:
- Provide Community Support Work To Recipients (Adults And Children)
- Assess, Review, And Monitor A Recipient’s Status In Relation To Rehabilitation
- Timely Submit Accurate, Legible, And Complete Weekly Counseling Progress Notes
- Attend All Weekly Team Meetings, Scheduled Trainings, Etc.
- Function Well In A Crisis And Promptly Returns Calls
- Understand, Acknowledge And Agree To Adhere Medicaid Regulations
Qualifications:
- Physician
- Physician Assistant
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
- Psychologist
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Job Duties:
- Complete Initial Recipient Assessment
- Act As Team Leader Of The Service Planning Team
- Assess, review, and monitor a recipient’s status in relation to rehabilitation
- Provide Crisis Intervention Services
- Lead Qualified Mental Health professionals (QMHP) That Are Assigned Under Their Leadership
- Submit Legible Progress Notes After Seeing A Recipient With Proper Documentation
- Promptly Returns Calls
- Understand, Acknowledge And Agree To Adhere To Medicaid Rules And Regulations
